Boot Camp: Your Guide to this Season's Boots

by Manchester Arndale, 27th September 2015 | Students, Fashion

Here's what you need to know about this season's offerings.

One thing is for sure, you can’t have an AW15 season without a great pair of boots (or three!).

Our guide to the very best latest looks available now in the centre will trot you through Autumn/Winter in style. We feel a serious shopping trip coming on – boots are a “staple wardrobe item” after all!

Long length boots
Thigh-high and over the knee boots are a serious trend the Autumn/Winter. Yes, they can be a little intimidating, but don’t be scared; they are extremely flattering when styled correctly. It’s all about the detail with long length boots, so look for lace-up, cut out and buckle embellishment. In other words, embrace your inner Kardashian and enjoy it!

70s style
We all know that 70s is a huge trend for AW15 and that doesn’t change when it comes to footwear. To really embrace 70s chic, when it comes to boots make sure you shop for tonnes of tan suede, tassels and keep your heels chunky.

Ankle boots
This one is a given – ankle boots are always in for Autumn / Winter and this year it’s not different.
Ankle boots are not only a new season essential, but the ultimate transitional fashion piece to inject some cool into your everyday wares.

For AW15, it's all about pushing the style boundaries. Classic suede is still a firm favourite as they really will go with everything. Bold animal prints are also key, so don’t be afraid to dabble in a bit of faux-snake skin or pony-fur to add some texture to your look.

Whilst the weather is still bearable, why not try a peep-toe or a cut out – you can always pair it with a cute pair of ankle socks or thick tights when winter really starts.
