Manchester Arndale has mixed things up for its SS16 fashion campaign, starring Manchester city centre at the forefront.

The 60 second fashion video focuses on Mancunian street style and the season’s key trends. Created by Manchester-based production company The Gate and creative agency Refinery, it features a series of looks and one gorgeous model exploring the city.
The Northern Quarter, Piccadilly and even the Metrolink trams feature in the fast-paced video which now runs on SkyAdsmart and digital screens in the city. It can also be viewed via Manchester Arndale’s YouTube Channel:

Showcasing key SS16 looks such as Abstract Acids, 90s, monochrome and acid brights, the video takes viewers on a fashion journey through the amazing city, to inspire them to find their own MA style. The key message is that Manchester Arndale inspires it’s shopper to find their look “made for me.”

Manchester stylist Gemma Harrison worked with Manchester Arndale to pinpoint and showcase the top looks for SS16, citing the following as the must-have styles for the season:
  Absolute 90s
Rework the 90s trend with plenty of Aztec prints, silky bomber jackets and on-point sneakers.  Keep hair and make-up to a minimum with a sleek top-knot and remember to accessorise with a rucksack and shades.
Orange is the new black
What better way to start summer off with an influx of fiery tones. Bold pops of orange continuously graced the catwalk throughout Fashion Week and it has certainly been no different for the SS16 campaign.

Up the monochrome game by layering a simple but effective print over a plain LBD, paired with some killer sky-high heels and hey presto! You’ve got a chic new look that can easily take you from day to night.
  Linear looks
Simple and chic, stripes are in the spotlight this season and the staple pattern has been shaken up with new look lines in a multitude of widths, and more abstract pattern-breaks.

Abstract Acids
Summer is all about the bold splashes of colour, so it’s a given that summer brights are a must. Up the neon game by trying chaotic stitch-work and paint-inspired prints, to make a big impression.
Refinery’s Darren Price, the shoot creative director for Manchester Arndale’s SS16 fashion campaign said: “Fashion is worn on the streets, so why not showcase it there! Manchester has a diverse fashion culture and this campaign provides an ideal platform to demonstrate how Manchester Arndale is relevant to everyone and their style choices.
“We want people to say ‘Manchester Arndale is relevant to me and my style- It is the city hub for all things fashion, I will get what I want there. No fuss. No hassle. It’s like it was made just for me.’”

Manchester Arndale’s Head of Marketing Sue Boor, said: “Our shoppers are constantly seeking the latest looks and we strive to create capsule seasonal campaigns that inspire them, but that are also very accessible. Our new video shows shoppers which trends will be big for SS16, but also how to style looks to suit everyday lifestyles.”

Gemma Harrison, the stylist responsible for the SS16 video looks, has partnered with sartorial photographer The Mancorialist to scour Manchester for the very best street style this weekend. One lucky snapped shopper will be chosen at random by Manchester Arndale and will win £500 in Manchester Arndale gift cards to get their own SS16 wardrobe.
