In 1903, Montague Burton was only 18 years old when he borrowed £100 from a relative to open the Cross-Tailoring Company in Chesterfield. "Good clothes develop a man's self-respect," was one of Burton's insights. He was dedicated to providing high quality made-to-measure suits at a reasonable price, revolutionising the industry with his promise of "a five guinea suit for 55 shillings". Today, our ethos is pretty much the same. Our clothes are fashionable, excellent quality and boast a price tag that won’t break the bank.
How do you keep out the elements and stay looking good? Seems our appetite for functional but fashionable outerwear never fades. Time to zip up (or button up) and check out our top picks for women and men from Manchester Arndale and some of our neighbours over at New Cathedral Street.
Autumn / Winter fashion season is here and, although trying on the latest trends can be super exciting, for many people the change in season can have an effect on mood and mental health.
