When it comes to day to day, I like to be comfortable, be it while baking, shopping for ingredients, running errands, heading to an event, editing photos or just sat at my desk. That said, I need to be practical, but of course there is always an element of wanting to look and feel good in whatever you are wearing. Whatever I decide to throw on in the morning needs to be versatile enough to adapt to my day to day life. Shopping at Manchester Arndale, I know I can find clothing for any occasion, be it casual, dressing up or for out and about, I am secure in the knowledge that I will get what I am looking for.
For a typical day of blogging, it would go something like this:
1.Head downstairs and stick the kettle on. For me it’s a herbal tea, usually apple & cinnamon by Pukka, my favourite.
2. Then I jump in the shower, stick some make up on and get dressed - I like to not have to change multiple times throughout the day, so I try to keep this in mind when picking an outfit. I will throw on a pair of comfy jeans (be it skinny jeans or ‘mom’ style jeans), a blouse that is comfy and lightweight and can also be dressed up later on, a pair of comfy flat boots and a coat. Now we have hit autumn, coats are back!
3. After breakfast, I usually have errands to run first thing, usually food shopping. I tend to plan out my cooking and baking and have a list ready to go with everything I will need.
4. Once I have my ingredients, I can crack on with recipe development! This usually takes 2-3 hours in the kitchen depending on what I am making. Lunch is often thrown in somewhere in between!
5. I tend to do jobs around the house and edit / write up my recipes for the rest of the afternoon but come dinner time, we often eat out. As a huge foodie and a gluten free blogger, I always want to be out finding new and delicious restaurants, but I also want to look put together, without trying to plan a whole new outfit after a hectic day in the kitchen!
6.Pairing the same blouse with some earrings, can quickly transform an outfit from day to night and with a swipe of lipstick I am ready to grab some drinks and food with my friends.
With Manchester Arndale you can quickly and easily find go-to, smart yet casual pieces that will take you from first thing in the morning, to last thing at night and adapt to any busy schedule. There are so many fantastic, well known retailers all in one place, along with some fantastic gluten free friendly restaurants. It is a reliable choice for me when shopping in Manchester!
