It’s that time again, autumn is finally here. Autumn is my absolute favorite time of the year. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had an incredible summer with some amazing weather. But as soon as it’s time to bring out those knots and scarves I’m truly the happiest. I'm all about versatility, especially when it comes to the colder autumn & winter months. Big scarves and wooly knits are my go to pieces when I want to my regular day to day activities. I’ve fully embraced neck scarves and big bold necklaces. I’m loving mustard and brown tones, those colours just add that extra bit of sophistication to any outfit.
For the times where I have to go from desk to dinner, I'm placing all my bets on big and bold prints, especially when it comes to skirts. The bigger and colourful the pattern, the better. I’m a bit obsessed with leopard prints- anything animal print is on my radar. Stripes are also a big player for me this season. Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a fan of symmetry. I’m fascinated by art on clothes. Out of all the shop windows in the Arndale I'm always magnetically attracted to the river Island shop window. i don't think I've ever walked past without having a quick look at what's new in store. I found this striped skirt in River Island and its definitely one of my fave buys this season.
Talking about colourful, whilst its getting colder I'm still embracing bright colours - A colourful coat is always an option. Thankfully NewLook have a wide range of colourful Coats in their range and in stores. Honestly, as soon as I walked in store, colourful coats as far as the eye could see. Plus, the retail staff is always the friendliest in NewLook.
I've opted for a yellow / mustard coat to pep up my daily outfits, for those warmer autumn months I'm heavily invested in Trenchcoats. Personally I love yellow or anything mustard coloured, I love how it compliments black and brown tones. Its just perfect to for those days where I opt for an all black outfit. Trench Coats are the perfect in-between, you can dress it up with heels or keep it casual with a pair of trainers.
A bad hair day can always be fixed with a hat, whether its a wide wool fedora or a camel baker boy hat - The choices are endless. I’m trying this thing where I don’t go for the usual black when it comes to bags. During spring/summer I experimented with pastel colours and bright loud colours, this season it’s all about brown and nude for me. A nude bag is perfect for work and the daily routine as it’s so easy to pair with any outfit. Brown is such an earthy colour and a solid choice in the evening. I'm loving H&M's Accessories section in store, you'll definitely a piece for any style this autumn.
Autumn is that time of the year where I feel like you can truly dress up. It’s all about mixing and combining fabrics and textures. Whether you’re the queen...or king of layering - Autumn/Winter is the season for those who like to experiment.
