Festive fashion for the whole family

Christmas can be chaos. On top of all the present buying and food shopping, there’s one social occasion after another to dress up for. Add children to the equation and you’ve got yourself a busy wardrobe department.
We’ve got all the festive fashion you’ll ever need, whether you’re heading for a casual family trip to the Christmas Markets, or going full on glam for the works Christmas do.

Here’s our top pick of the boldest and brightest seasonal looks to kit you and the kids out in.

Mustard mania
We’ve said goodbye to pale pastel yellows, autumn/winter season is well and truly here and it’s all about deep and daring mustard pieces.
Mustard is everywhere on the high street this season. Keep the focus on your brightest item, by pairing it with more subtle, staple colours like beige, black, navy and grey.

Space age meets hot pink
Red and pink was a key trend on the catwalk for AW17, but if you’re looking for a slightly more distinct divide to your outfit – team shocking pink with metallic shades for a bold and bright party wear look.  You’ll have no trouble finding silver and grey pieces, there’s everything from velvet tees, to faux fur coats and ankle boots.

Black is back
Well it never really went away. But you can’t go wrong with black for understated glamour when it comes to party season. Go for an off-the-shoulder LBD for a full-on night out - at least your left side will be warm! For more casual after work drinks, match black skinny jeans and a vest top with a metallic blazer.

Layer up
Baby, it’s cold outside. So this season’s layering trend is practical as well as fashionable. Start off with a simple t-shirt, and add a checked shirt, hooded jacket and casual coat. Anything goes here, including jeans and chunky knits to finish the look.

Double denim
Tis the season for kids to party too. Make sure they’re comfortable running round the school disco in denims. It doesn’t have to be plain, denim can be pretty fancy and is out there in all shapes and sizes - skinny, ripped, or with embroidery, appliques, or patches for a more detailed look.

When the clock strike’s midnight
New Years’ Eve calls some something a little bit special, so play around with textures. Fur, sequins, velvet, and pleats all shout 1920s glamour. Opt for a tone-on-tone nude colour palate as an alternative to the Little Black Dress.
