Step into Spring

Winter to spring, how to get the transitional wardrobe right.....
Christmas is well and truly over and the last dribs and drabs are all that’s left of the sales.  It’s that time of year when we panic about what we should be wearing, is it so last season and I don’t want to leap into spring just yet!

Well not to fear my fellow shopaholics, if you follow these simple tips you’re sure to have a happy start to your New Year.

The pretty scarf
Introduce a pretty patterned scarf to your less wintered wardrobe. Go for a lightweight one like silk or chiffon, flower print is going to be big again for spring so why not invest in a pretty ditsy floral print.

Colour
We know it’s still cold outside but it won’t be long before spring is in the air, so add a splash of colour with maybe a statement bag, belt or shoes to brighten up your day and lift those winter woollies.

Layers
Pack away those heavy knits and opt for thinner lighter layers in cottons for a more transitional look.

Prints
Prints are big and bold for spring/summer this year so why not dip into that suitcase under the bed and pull out a couple of pieces from last season and team with some classic dark jeans. Try animal or tribal print; just keep the look simple to pull off that transitional look.

Coat
It’s as easy as just opting for a colourful coat to add spring to your wardrobe and your whole look. Not only will you feel great but you will brighten up everyone else’s day too!

The most perfect winter to spring transitional must-have for your wardrobe would have to be a nautical stripe top, just team it with some classic dark jeans and throw on your leather jacket for effortless chic that is so now.
