Recycle it
Don’t just bin it, recycle your christmas cards and wrapping paper at Manchester Arndale.
The environmentally-conscious staff at Manchester Arndale do and as a result have launched a card and paper recycling point which opens on Christmas Eve so that staff and shoppers can do their bit for the planet and help save a few trees in the process.
Glen Barkworth, General Manager at Manchester Arndale says: “We have over 10,000 retail staff working within the centre and if everyone brought in just one card each we’d be well on our way to saving lots of trees. We’ve calculated that 17 trees are equal to one tonne of paper and one tonne of paper equals four recycling bins, so we are aiming to achieve this goal and more.”
Separate recycling bins for paper and card will be situated within Arndale House foyer and the campaign will run until Sunday 16th January 2011. So remember don’t just bin it, recycle at Manchester Arndale and go green this Christmas!
